Malak Sedra

Head of Global Operational Excellence

Malak Sedra is the Head of Actalent's Global Operational Excellence and the General Manager for the Actalent Montreal Delivery Center. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Malak has explored various engineering disciplines. His journey began with aerospace and gas turbine engine control systems at Pratt and Whitney Canada, where he worked on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and embedded software design.

Malak then joined Triumph Pump and Engine Controls (formerly Goodrich) as a program manager and country manager overseeing their Canadian operations. He is certified by Andrews Air Force Base in Washington for in-flight engine altitude testing and was among the select few engine flight test engineers on the PWC Boeing 720.

In 2017, Malak joined Actalent as the General Manager for the Montreal Delivery Center. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University and an Executive MBA from the John Molson School of Business. Additionally, he is a certified Lean Practitioner, holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is a licensed professional engineer in good standing with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).

Malak has been peer-nominated for the prestigious Canada's Top 20 Under 40 Rising Stars in the aviation and aerospace industry by Wings and Helicopter magazines. Alongside his various roles in Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, Malak has an entrepreneurial spirit. He is also a best-selling author and a fierce competitor, having represented Canada and Egypt in three world championships, where he consistently ranked in the top 10 globally.
