Brooke Hirsch

Senior Manager

Brooke Hirsch, PhD is a senior manager within Actalent’s Scientific Support Services. She brings more than 25 years of experience in research, laboratory services, project management, product development and scientific leadership across the life sciences.

Before joining Actalent in 2019, Brooke served for five years as vice president of operations at a specialized assay development services company. In that role, she oversaw a histology and immunohistochemistry laboratory, a project management team, technical operations for process engineering, product development and the direction of multiple scientific teams.

Her earlier career includes extensive work at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where she spent five years as a core facility manager, three years as a postdoctoral fellow and five years conducting doctoral research.

Brooke holds project management certification from PMI, Lean Management certification and is an ASQ certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She has published scholarly articles and abstracts in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, the American Association for Cancer Research and other scientific outlets, and has authored multiple patent applications.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Colorado State University and her PhD in molecular biology from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
